Plexus Slim Ingredients – “Has anyone read the label?!”

Plexus Slim is a diet weight loss supplement manufactured by Plexus Worldwide Inc. Presented in powder form, it is combined with water for ingestion. So technically, it is a “shake”. The plexus slim ingredients do not consist of caffeine or stimulants, and are claimed to aid in healthy cholesterol, lipids and blood sugar, making them safe for persons with diabetes.

The supplement is intended for use in conjunction with regular dietary plans, and administration is preferably 30 minutes before intake of food or drinks. Two plant extracts, oxypregnane steroid glycoside and chlorogenic acid combine with others, to effectively exhibit beauty and slimming benefits.

Studies on the plexus slim ingredients, indicate that the caffeine acid within the chlorogenic extract has high levels of antioxidants that aid in limiting the oxidation of lipids within the liver. Oxypregnane steroidal glycoside is a clinically proven appetite suppressant.

Chlorogenic acid is an ester of caffeic acid and quinic acid. This biosynthetic intermediate in lignin biosynthesis, is also known as an antioxidant that slows down the levels of glucose released into the bloodstream, after meals.

This compound does not contain chlorine and is prevalent in bamboo and many other plants and fruits, such as peach, prune and green coffee bean extracts. Marketed as a food additive under the brand name Svetol, it is used in mints, chewing gum, or on its own.

Oxypregnane steroidal glycoside is a derivative of the African cactiform, Hoodia gordonii. P57 is the main constituent responsible for appetite suppression activities within the cacti extracts. The compound has a mechanism of action in the central nervous system, whereby it increases the ATP content in hypothalamic neurons, to subsequently reduce food intake in a 24 hour period, by 40 to 60 percent.

Is Plexus Slim

Citric acid, a weak organic acid and a food additive is an important aspect in the plexus slim ingredients. The acid has a sour or acidic taste, and is important for the metabolism function in all aerobic organisms. Naturally occurring in limes, oranges, lemons, vegetables and a host of other citric fruits, it is known to perform the physiological oxidation of proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

Beetroot extract is high in folate, manganese and betaines that work to decrease the amounts of homicysteine, a natural amino acid. High levels of homicysteine in the body are harmful to the blood vessels and contribute to strokes, heart ailments and cardiovascular peripheral diseases.

Grape skin extracts contain anthocyanins, colorants that are influenced by changes in pH, and are added to products with high acidic nature. The pH purposefully affects the intensity and stability of color, and is soluble in water and alcohol.

Stevia extract, a factor in the plexus slim ingredients is a genus of many shrubs and herbs belonging to the sunflower family. The steviol glycoside extracts have 300 times more sweetness than sugar. Stevia is currently in demand for its low-sugar and low-carbohydrate levels. Its’ negligible results on blood glucose appeals to people on carbohydrate-controlled diets.

Lo Han, an exotic fruit extract is safe for hypoglycemic and diabetics. It has zero glycemic impact and zero calories. The natural sweetener within this fruit is attributed to mogrosides or terpene glycosides that are 250 times sweeter, in comparison to sucrose.

Additional plexus slim ingredients include, citrin K, a natural clinically tested weight loss aid, and an extract of the potassium salt rich Garcinia cambogia, an endemic plant cultivated in southern India. Alpha lipoic acid, an organosulfur compound is a derivative of octanoic acid, and is a naturally occurring antioxidant, available in all cells within the body. It functions as an altering factor of glucose into energy. Small doses of trivalent chromium, an element with trace amounts for lipid metabolism and sugar, are inclusive Plexus Slim.

Used in collaboration with a good, daily “hydration” regime, the plexus slim ingredients promote positive weight loss by burning down fat, enhancing normal levels of blood sugar, maintaining the healthy standards of lipid and cholesterol levels, reducing oxidative stress, while encouraging the willpower and control over choice of food.

Plexus slim is non-thermogenic, diabetic friendly and therefore safe. Since it harnesses the use of plant substances, there is proven success in dietary slimming and beauty effects. It is however imperative to consult with a doctor, prior to starting this or any other weight loss supplement.

Of course, after all this is said, I would still highly recommend all my blog readers to start getting fitter and back in shape by more natural methods. • Noe R says:

Does this drink really help to lose weight?

  • Taylor G says:

Has anyone used it?? I see so many ppl online that drop like 70 pounds in 6-10 months and I was just wondering if its worth the money because it’s $114 for a 30 day supply. Thanks :)

  • Jaron says:

Hi! My daughter is 10 months old and breastfed. She has 3 jars of baby food a day and some snacks, though, so she only nurses about 3-5 times a day.

I was wondering if it’s safe to take Plexus Slim while nursing?

    Thanks in advance!

Let me start off by saying that I am against using weight loss supplements. I’d prefer to lose weight naturally. I’m a female, 21, 5’6 in height and about 230 with no health problems! I’ve been wanting to lose weight for the longest and now it is a must since I’ve decided to join the U.S. Air Force and will be taking my Physical Fitness Exam in September. I’ve started doing push-ups and sit-ups to prepare for it in addition to running, but I NEED to lose 60-70 pounds by September. I wanted to know if using Plexus Slim would help increase my chances of reaching my goal. I’ve met a woman who is an ambassador for Plexus Slim. She was very convincing and said that the product is natural and had no negative side effects, but I’m still skeptical. Please help me if you can.

    • Michele Gregory says:

Actually, this really isn’t a weight loss supplement. It was originally formulated to help diabetics, and people found that as their blood sugar was balanced, they also lost weight. It has many other benefits as well. No apologies for taking any supplements, especially when they are all natural and plant based. Hope that helps!

  • Jermaine J says:

    I’m female
    22 years old
    5’0 125 lbs
    goal weight: 105

Basically I’m not happy with my body, my whole life I’ve been skinny and now I’ve plumped up and am having trouble losing weight. I work out at the gym (not as regularly as I should be) with little results. My question to you is have any of you tried weight watchers or plexus slim and if so, which do you recommend for my situation?

  • Jeffery Carlson says:

My friend is losing weight on Plexus Slim. She drank it for just 1 week and quit drinking it after because she was forgetting to drink it. She still took the accelerator once a day and loss 50 lbs in 3 months. Anyone else do this?

  • Alex says:

it seems a little expensive……has anybody tried this stuff??

  • Isha says:

I am getting married and am looking into making a little extra money…I could also stand to lose a few pounds for the big day! My question is, is it worth it selling it? Do you make anything and does the product work? I’ve done a good bit of research but I want to hear honest opinions about this :)

  • Bally says:

I have heard and seen people with great results. I tried a free trial of the PS (Plexus Slim) and it was good. I would like to hear different opinions on them both.

  • Peter says:

I’ve been taking Plexus Slim for 2 weeks. Not yet getting results. How long does it normally take before losing any weight?

  • Gage says:

Will it be okay if I use these at the same time?

  • Harry says:

I’ve heard so many pros and hardly any cons about this extreme dieting product.I need to lose weight, so I decided to buy the product (and got a great deal; I got the whole pack JUST for $70).

Now, yesterday as of Mar. 26 2014 was my first day of the product. Yesterday, roundabout 12ish in the afternoon, I ate about two small bowls of pico de gallo, grabbed a bottle of water, took my teens multivitamin, multivitamin gummies, zyrtec (allergy medicine), zinc (helps to build immune system), and finished the water bottle. I then, grabbed another bottle of water, mixed it with plexus slim, and drank it with the two pills of Accelerator. Afterwards, I ran on the treadmill for 30 mins.

    My question for you is,

Would this Plexus Slim still be just as effective along with taking my other pills?

  • Zoya says:

My goal is to lose 10lbs in at least 2 months, do laxatives work?

  • Megan says:

I wanted to know if it would be okay for someone of my weight and age to start taking these. I’m 19 and weight 125 lb. I’m not over weight at all but I have really big thighs, and a big butt I want to lose. I want to know is if it works and if it would be okay for me to take. I want something to curve my appetite and will help when I work out.

  • Chris R says:

I’m 18 and I weigh 169lbs. I don’t look like I weigh this much but I do:/ I’m very focused on losing weight before this summer and I just bought a 60day package of plexus slim and the accelerator. I have only been on it for almost a week but I really would like to know some results from you. I don’t exercise very often but I move around a lot. I don’t eat very healthy. And I’m a severe asthmatic so hardcore exercise would only kill me lol. So some pointer would be amazing if possible!
