Plexus Slim Ingredients List → Some Shady Things in There!

Are you not extremely cautious while trying out something new? Well, you are normal.

Plexus Slim is deemed to be a safe and effective way to lose weight by burning fat and not muscle. It is also a health drink which regulates the blood sugar levels along with reducing binge eating. As claimed by the company, almost all the ingredients of Plexus Slim are natural.

Chlorogenic Acid

– A natural plant product used as an additive in most foods.

It is rich in antioxidants and is helps against inflammation and pain.

Citrin K

Alpha Lipolic Acid

–  Its main function is to help convert glucose (blood sugar) into energy. ALA is manufactured by the body and is found in small amounts in spinach, broccoli, peas, Brewer’s yeast, Brussels sprouts, rice bran and potatoes.

Studies have shown that alpha lipolic acid can help with the following conditions:

  1. Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
  2. Coronary Heart Disease
  3. Metabolic Syndrome (high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol)

  5. Peripheral Neuropathy (caused by diabetes and other conditions, such as Lyme

disease, alcoholism, shingles, thyroid disease and kidney failure)

  6. Diabetes (improving glucose metabolism and helping diabetics utilize insulin better)
  7. Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer (increasing long-term survival)
  8. Impaired Brain Function (as a treatment for stroke and other brain disorders

involving free radical damage, including Alzheimer’s disease)

  9. Effects of Aging (improving blood flow and enhancing immune function, restoring

levels of glutathione, a protective antioxidant and detoxification compound)

  10. Chromium

    – A common ingredient in many weight loss foods, it helps provide blood sugar to cells and may increase sensitivity to insulin, potentially helping to curb cravings for sweets and carbohydrates. It is naturally found in broccoli, yeast and mushrooms.

    Glycemic Index Maltodextrin

    – A natural sweetener that is found in potatoes and corn.

    Citric Acid

    – Most commonly used as preservative, citric acid is good for clearing free radicals from the body, getting rid of kidney stones and helps to maintain acid levels in the body.

    Beetroot Extract

    – Is responsible for healthy blood and normalizing the pH balance in the body. Beetroot is one of the richest sources of nitrates, folic acid and manganese. It contains trace amounts of amino acids including D amino acids and alpha amino acids. Since it is sweet, it also acts as a natural sweetener.

    Grape Skin Extract

is said to be useful to treat heart diseases such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

A natural sugar substitute called Stevia Extract.

    Lo Han Extract

    – A natural sweetener, which does not elevate blood sugar and is obtained from the exotic Lo Han fruit. This fruit has several benefits out of which protecting the immune system, glands, digestive tract and respiratory system are the most important ones.

The Accelerator plus which is recommended to be used along Plexus Slim for added benefits contain vitamins and minerals such as Niacin, Vitamin B6, B 12, Calcium and Chromium.

The relevant ingredients in the proprietary blend of Accelerator Plus are the main ingredients responsible for weight loss, as claimed by research.

Yerba mate leaf extract is the first ingredient on the bottle’s list. The extract comes from the plan source and is very popular as beverage made by infusing the leaves in hot water. Yerba mate contains potassium, magnesium and caffeine and is said to have a relaxing effect on smooth muscle tissue.

Hordenine is a phytochemical that comes from barley. It is said to have a stimulating effect on the body.

Hawthorn, to some extent helps with serious heart conditions because it makes the heart pump better and thus could have some medical properties.

Green tea also contains other compounds such as theobromine and

which have some structural similarities to caffeine. It therefore acts as a stimulant.

5 HTP is a compound with the scientific name 5-hydroxytryptophan. 5 HTP is derived from tryptophan, a non-essential amino acid that is naturally produced in our body every day and helps make a brain chemical called serotonin. Elevated serotonin levels appear to improve mood as well as reduce appetite.

Now with all these ingredients listed, the real questions are:

    <li>Are these ingredients safe?</li>

<li>Is an initial sample of under 100 people valid for a “clinical trial”?</li>

<li>Were these ingredients individually tested for the effects they are claimed for?</li>

<li>Who will claim responsibility in case some of the ingredients are suddenly proven unsafe in the near future?</li>

Now those are the questions I wish to ask Plexus Worlwide. I am sure I am not going to get any answer. And because I am not going to get any answer, I DO NOT recommend this “juice” to you folks, my readers.

So stay away from this, I wouldn’t stuff some chemicals just because they ‘seem’ to work. Sorry, doesn’t work that way for me. I prefer natural and 100% safe alternatives like working out, eating a balanced diet and doing some awesome yoga exercises!

Get in touch with me if you are excited about THAT!

  • Reagan says:

I tried a sample just now, hated the taste. I immediately thought artificial sweeteners. I looked it up and came across this page. Then looked further into Maltodextrin. I found this simple statement which is enough for me to not believe the Plexus lies. Copy and pasted from a health website:
    “Maltodextrin and weight loss
If you’re trying to lose weight, you will want to avoid maltodextrin. It’s essentially a sweetener and a carbohydrate with no nutritional value, and it causes an increase in blood sugar. The levels of sugar in maltodextrin can lead to weight gain.”

  • Pam Brown says:

I really like how it makes me feel. Until I started getting Pre-Beats (PVC’s) in my heart. That was scary. I wish they had a product that was like this to help with digestive issues, but didn’t have so much caffeine.

  • Martha Sluder says:

It’s indeed heavy on caffeine, in my opinion. People who already have stressed adrenals don’t need more caffeine. And I cringe that pregnant ladies are giving regular doses to their unborn children, not thinking they would never give caffeine to their 6 month old!

  • kay says:

I’m not excited at all for another unregulated “supplement” the ad reads like a covered wagon snake oil. Buyer beware!!! I have a relative who has a friend who keeps posting about this…not into supplements. Too costly and not gov’t researched

  • Maria Ansari says:

I have been taking the plexus slim for 4 days now and I have noticed that I am on the verge of falling asleep standing or walking. I also take medication for narcolepsy and maybe this stuff is interferring with my medication? I don’t know but I’m going to stop taking it because I can’t be at work half asleep

  • Alecia says:

It makes me have heart palpitations, hot flashes, and insomnia. I’ve a problem with insomnia already and Slim exacerbates it. I’m sending it back.

  • Ben Reynolds says:

I take plexus for blood pressure issues. It lowers and levels it out. It also helps my digestive system.
My aunt ended up with a strange autoimmune disease that’s the doctors were unable to treat. She started taking plexus and it went away completely.
I saw one person on here say it made her jittery. So does too much caffeine. I wouldn’t recommend taking. It just before bed because it reacts like coffee just without the caffeine. to be honest, my only complaint is that’s it’s high priced and there is only one flavor.

  • Donna says:

Plexus has completely changed my health and my family’s. No ill effects, only benefits. Life-changing benefits. There is a 60-day money back guarantee and thousands of positive testimonials. Find out for yourself.

  • Jenny Gray says:

Are you saying that plexus is not good for you…that we shouldn’t take it? Because I know a lady who is trying to get me into it

  • Dorothy Belt says:

How can I get some of this and what the price?

  • Bev says:

Has this product been approved by the FDA?

    • Betty says:

Supplements are not approved/regulated by the FDA. Another reason we see so many scam companies…

    • Serina says:

Bev, I hope you were able to get some one to help you get started. These products can truly help make you feel much better naturally, no chemicals, and 60 day money back.

  • Holly says:

I’ve been talking it for 3 days. For three days I have had heart palpitations. THEN, I began to research it. Should have researched sooner. I know better. No more for me.

  • paul says:

Holy Cow! If this stuff actually does everything that their “ambassadors” say it does then I think we have the cure for cancer! WOW! I mean it really cures “night sweats, baldness, blood sugar levels, weight loss, cholesterol, scarring, shiny healthy skin etc…”? Let’s be real. This is the modern version of the snake oil that traveling “doctors” used to hawk in the old west. (keep in mind that they were run out of town or beaten half to death for their lies).

  • Jane says:

I understand there is an ingredient in Plexus called dimethylamylamime which causes arrhythmias. Is this correct. Also, Amazon stopped selling it because of this.

  • Candy says:

I see all of the negative on here and i see others who claim it has worked wonders in their health. Some have used it to jump start their journey to a heathier lifestyle. Call me a test case. I started usinv almost three weeks ago and had immediate results. FDA approval … really. How many products receive FDA approval and then get included in classaction law suits a few years later. Im in.

    • Betty says:

Results, that’s all that matters, right? Well, I’ll tell you what… just start eating 500 calories every day, and you will see instantaneous results. Getting the point?

  • Emily Autry says:

Can you please tell me about Plexus I’m need to lose 80 lbs do you have to be on a special diet if so can you send me the diet program
